Cannons bring in Brickies striker...

By Ian Townsend

...whilst Collin and Elder also return

Hythe Town have announced the capture of Sittingbourne striker Johan Caney-Bryan.

Johan made forty three appearances for the Brickies last season, and was their top scorer with fourteen goals. He also reached double figures during the 2019-20 season- which, of course, didn't finish- and has been a Brickie since the start of the 2018-19 campaign.

He played briefly for the Cannons during the 2015-16 campaign.

Also returning to the club are player coach Frannie Collin, and on a less regular basis, former coach Nathan Elder, whose involvement may be limited by work commitments.

Frannie ended last season with Ashford United, and featured twenty two times up to and including their Play Off Final defeat against Herne Bay. He was with the Cannons prior to his time with the Nuts and Bolts, previously played for Margate for two seasons, and was also very successful at a significantly higher level, with Gillingham, Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels and Maidstone United.
