Chips are best!

By Ian Townsend

Chipstead go top and score four, Marlow hit six, Northwood sink the Moles, whilst Uxbridge, Ascot and South Park also pick up three points

Chipstead are both leaders and top scorers after a four-one win over ten man Corinthian-Casuals. An early red card for the visitors Abideen Abiade put them on the back foot, and although they held firm until the break, the Chips broke their rearguard six minutes after the restart through Chad Goulter, and from then onwards it remained one way traffic. Arlie Desanges took his total for the season up to five, and although Jason Evans scored a stunning goal for the ten men with five minutes left, Brad Wilson got a fourth for the Chips at the end of normal time.

This was our match of the day, and you can read about it in depth here.

Chertsey Town went second after coming from behind to defeat Hartley Wintney. Kanye Jobson put the visitors ahead after just thirteen minutes, but it turned out to be unlucky as Wayne Ridley levelled for the Curfews seven minutes before the break and Gianluca Botti scored the winner four minutes after the restart.

Third place Leatherhead were held to a goalless draw by Westfield, the Tanners a point ahead of a goal crazy Marlow side who hosted Sutton Common Rovers and showed their visitors no mercy. Ben Mulley opened the scoring for Marlow on twenty four minutes and they doubled their advantage from the spot seven minutes before half time, Dawid Rogalski with his fifth goal of the season. Aaron Jenkins pulled a goal back for Rovers just after the restart, but that was as good as it got. Another penalty saw Tom Soares make it three-one, Naheer-Omar Nawaf made it four, and in the last ten minutes a fifth from Rhys Harper and a sixth for Rogalski made it a fine day for the hosts and a rather difficult one for the visitors.

Northwood made it two wins from two and take fifth place after hitting Binfield for four. Two goals in each half did the damage, Teddy Stacey and Dan Williams with the first two, Harry Gallagher and Kofi Anokye-Boadi the next double, with a Dontaye Whittaker goal for the Moles in between.

Ascot United are sixth, Sean McCormack scoring the only goal of the game at Badshot Lea, whilst South Park Reigate, pleased to see the back of Leatherhead after playing them for three matches in a row, scored the only goal of the game in Guernsey to ensure a pleasant flight home. Sam King scored it just after half time, and the hosts ended the match with ten men after Charlton Gauvain saw red.

Uxbridge are ninth, maintaining their one hundred percent record with a three-one win over Thatcham Town. The visiting Kingfishers held the lead at the break, Christian Johnson scoring a minute before half time, but the second half was all Uxbridge. Hensley Maloney quickly levelled and then put his side ahead on sixty four minutes, and with nine minutes remaining Alex Witham made quite sure of three points with a third goal.

Two second half goals saw Met Police and Hanworth Villa draw one-one. Adam Green gave the boys in blue the lead seven minutes after the restart, but Kyen Nicholas quickly drew the visitors level, and that was that. Ashford Town and Southall ended without a goal between them.
