Nico the Ram joins Hythe Town

Hythe Town have announced the signing of midfielder Nico Cotton from neighbours Ramsgate.

Nico has been with the Rams since October, after moving to Southwood from Whitstable Town. He made ten appearances for the club, and was twice in squads to face Hythe, but didn't emerge from the bench on either occasion.

He made seven appearances for the Oysterboys this season, the last of them coming in the draw with VCD Athletic on September 14th.

Prior to his arrival in Kent he was with Haywards Heath Town, where he made six appearances-with two goals- during the minuscule 2020-21 campaign, and thirty two- also with two goals- during the longer but still far too short 2019-20 campaign.

He moved to Heath after playing for Lewes, joining the Rooks after departing Southend United in November 2018. He had already had two Isthmian loan spells at Lowestoft Town, and also spent time at East Grinstead Town.
