Midfielder George Cox is new at East Thurrock United

East Thurrock United have announced the signing of midfielder George Cox, who makes the move up a level from Romford.

George was previously with his new boss Steve Butterworth at both Romford and Great Wakering Rovers. He turned out for Rovers for a number of seasons, three times in 2016-17, forty times in 18-19, another thirty appearances arriving in the curtailed 19-20 campaign, nine in what passed for the 20-21 season, and thirty four more in 21-22.

He played forty times for Boro last season.
