Double H for the Robins

Will Huffer and Tom Hanfrey are new at Carshalton Athletic

Carshalton Athletic yesterday announced two new arrivals, as Peter Adeniyio continues to build his squad for the forthcoming campaign.

Goalkeeper Will Huffer came through the ranks at Leeds United, playing once for the first team. A spell at Bradford City followed, and since then Will has played for AFC Telford United, Stalybridge Celtic and more recently had a spell at Burgess Hill Town. He made fifteen appearances during the 21-22 campaign, and another twenty seven last season.

Defender Tom Hanfrey spent some of last season at Sittingbourne in Pitching In isthmian South East. He joined the Brickies in January after a spell at Sheppey United, and previously played for FC Romania.

Tom was at Cray Wanderers during the 21-22 campaign, signing in September 2021 and going on to make twenty eight appearances for the Pitching In Isthmian Premier side.

He is primarily a left back- although versatile- who came through the Academy, Under 18's and Under 21's at Bournemouth before signing on for Concord Rangers and then Tonbridge Angels in National League South. He made his Angels debut during the 20-21 campaign but played very few matches before the pandemic kicked in. He previously played on loan for Poole Town, Farnborough and Blackfield & Langley.

Robins legend Paris Hamilton-Downes also returns to the squad after a terrible time with injury last season. Paris has been an enormous part of the Robins success over the last seven years, and also one of the first names on the team sheet under Adeniyi's management, so will be most welcome.
