Double Tanners

Leatherhead announced two new arrivals prior to their FA Cup draw with Horsham on Saturday. A goalkeeper, Brian Okonkwo, arrived on loan from Arsenal and played the entire match, whilst a full back, Kalani Burton, was formerly with Crystal Palace and wasn't in the squad.

Keeper Brian is seventeen years old, has been with the Gunners for more than five years already, and will still be training with the professional side before joining up with the Tanners on matchdays. His loan will last up until January, and he kept a clean sheet on Saturday- although it must be said he was rarely tested! Despite his tender years this isn't his first Non League loan spell, he spent time with Hitchin Town in the second half of last season. His brother Arthur is also a goalkeeper and also with Arsenal, although currently on loan at Wrexham.

Right back Kalani came through the Palace youth setup and played for their Under 18 side, but left the club recently after ten years at Selhurst Park.
