Duo for Stow

Prior to Saturday's match against Grays Athletic, Stowmarket Town announced the signings of Jake Clowsley and Taylor Hastings- and Jake made a debut in the defeat.

Forward Jake came through the youth system at Clacton, and made more than one hundred appearances there. He first came to our attention at Brightlingsea Regent, joining the club in November 2015 from Stanway Rovers. He made four appearances during their North Division promotion season in 2016-17, and fifteen in the Premier Division the following season- a campaign when he also spent a few months with AFC Sudbury, making twenty four appearances.

Jake returned to Regent midway through the 2019-20 season, making eleven appearances and scoring three goals before the campaign shuddered to a halt. He played three times during the 20-21 season, what there was of it.

He returned to AFC Sudbury in October 2021, and made twenty appearances scoring seven goals during the 21-22 campaign. After leaving the Yellows, he moved back to Clacton.

Taylor, a defender, has plenty of Isthmian experience. His former clubs include Enfield Town, Heybridge Swifts, Leiston, Wroxham, Harlow Town, Bishop's Stortford- although that one lasted hardly any time at all- and Bury Town, where he played from 19-20 to 21-22. He also spent time at Ely Town, and at Felixstowe and Walton United, an important part of the side who earned promotion to the Isthmian League in 2017-18.

Recently he's been with Harlow once more.
