Eddie new in Stripes

Eddie Allsopp is the latest arrival at Folkestone Invicta

Folkestone Invicta have completed their trio of signings this week with the arrival of Chatham Town midfielder/forward Eddie Allsopp.

Eddie joined the Chats in September from Sheppey United, and has made eighteen appearances. Whilst with the Ites, he played sixteen times with four goals last season, and made three appearances at the start of this campaign, scoring in the FA Cup win against Midhurst and Easebourne. He also spent some of last season with Bowers and Pitsea, but only played a couple of times.

He was a big part of Herne Bay's success during the 21-22 season, making twenty appearances, whilst scoring two goals. He also spent some of that campaign with Faversham Town, playing sixteen times and scoring three times.

Eddie previously appeared for Barking- on loan from Charlton Athletic- during the 2020-21 campaign and scored six goals in eleven appearances before injury sent him back to the Valley. He came through the ranks at Phoenix Sports before moving to the Valley on an initial two year deal back in 2018, and was part of the Under 23 squad before leaving the club in the summer of 2021.
