Bowers bring in Canvey midfielder

White moves up eight miles- and one level

Bowers and Pitsea last night announced the signing of Canvey Island midfielder James White.

James made his name at Dartford, but will have come to the attention of the Gulls whilst plying his trade just along the road at Concord Rangers, where he made two hundred and eighteen appearances and stayed for four seasons, despite almost leaving the club to play for his former manager Danny Cowley at Braintree Town. What on earth happened to him?!

He also spent time at Dover and at East Thurrock United, signing for the Gulls on a dual-registration deal alongside Rocks teammate Sam Higgins in time to play against Bowers in the 2017-18 Playoff Semi-Final. The Gulls made it past Bowers to reach the final, where they lost to Haringey Borough. He has made eighty appearances for Canvey during the two seasons since, scoring six goals.
