Enough Sparks to start a major conflagration!

South Park announce former Tranmere striker Savage- and many more

South Park yesterday capped off- unless there are more yet to arrive- a frantic few days of signing announcements with the arrival of former Tranmere Rovers striker Bas Savage.

Bas, who was a Walton & Hersham Youth before starting his professional career with Reading, has also played for Bristol City, Gillingham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Millwall, Tranmere Rovers, Dagenham and Redbridge and Northampton Town, before heading off to Thailand. We read that he'd retired a few years ago- but perhaps that was incorrect, and whatever the truth of the matter, he's now back and something of a coup for the Sparks.

Bas will be joined at Whitehall Lane by Connor French, Josh Owens, Leon Lalor-Dell, Merrick James-Lewis and Sheridan Campbell.

Striker Connor was with Tooting and Mitcham United last season, and previously played for Sevenoaks Town, Molesey, Harrow Borough, Three Bridges, Dulwich Hamlet and Farnborough, amongst others, whilst midfielder Josh has played for Lewisham and Beckenham Town, we believe- unless there are two Josh Owens out there! Leon was at Cheshunt and Corinthian-Casuals last season, and previously played for Tooting & Mitcham United and Chipstead.

Merrick, a midfielder, has had so many clubs that if we were to list them all you'd get eye-strain reading them. They include Fulham and Southend United, where he was a youth player, but at our level the list has Bishop's Stortford, Carshalton Athletic, Cray Wanderers, Canvey Island, Staines Town, Grays Athletic, Maldon & Tiptree, Tooting & Mitcham United, Heybridge Swifts, Herne Bay and Thamesmead Town. That's about a third of them.

Sheridan ended last season at Staines Town, and also spent some time at Hanwell Town, so managed to be at both ends of the South Central table at one time or another. The striker has also played for Beaconsfield Town, Knaphill and Ascot United.

Returning from last season, the club have also announced the return of the following players:

Liam Collins
Louis Collins
Ainh-War Tran-West
Craig Bradshaw
Arlie Desanges
Nodirbek Bobomurodov
Alex Brefo
Darryl Siaw
Deshon Carty
Tim Pitt
Kiye Martin
