FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round- draw made

By Ian Townsend

Here's the FA Trophy news you need

The draw for the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy was made at lunchtime, and here is the news you've been waiting for!

Let's start at the top. If Bedfont Sports can overcome Hitchin Town, and then overcome Paulton Rovers, they'll get to travel to either Sholing- conquerors of Marlow in the last round- or Barton Rovers, who have so far knocked out Hullbridge Sports, Chichester City and Ashford United. So yes, that's about as clear as very thick mud!

Bognor Regis Town face a trip they've grown quite used to over the years, as they travel to Tonbridge Angels, who are currently bottom of National League South. The winners of the replay between Whitehawk and Hastings United this week will be remaining at the seaside, but it will be a distant seaside as they'll be off to Dorset to face Weymouth.

Tooting & Mitcham United's reward for walloping Margate at the weekend might be a trip to Carshalton Athletic for a local derby- or it could be a much longer trip to Frome Town. Frome are currently top of the BetVictor Southern South Division, and will be no pushovers for the Robins.

Enfield Town will face a tough test whoever emerges victorious from either Maldon & Tiptree or Folkestone Invicta, but the Towners will have home advantage; whilst if Aveley can overcome Taunton Town in a replay they'll travel to either Met Police or Biggleswade Town.

AFC Sudbury's reward for their hammering of Worthing will be a trip to either Kingstonian or to Blackfield & Langley (it's near Southampton, we checked), and if Westfield can dispose of Hartley Wintney in a replay they'll be off to Eastbourne to face the Sports.

We've a Mole Valey derby, as Leatherhead welcome back Dorking Wanderers, whilst Haringey Borough will entertain the Tudors. No, not the ones who sang 'The Swords of a Thousand Men,' but Hemel Hempstead Town, sixth in National League South. Hornchurch will head to Oxford to face City, seventeenth in National League South, whilst finally, if Soham Town Rangers can overcome Hayes & Yeading United on Wednesday night they'll be travelling to Wiltshire to take on Salisbury.

Matches are scheduled to take place on 23rd November. Winning clubs will pick up £3750 from the competition's prize fund, while the losing clubs will take home £1250.

The draw, or at least the bit that includes our clubs, is below:

21 Sholing or Barton Rovers v Hitchin Town or Bedfont Sports or Paulton Rovers
22 Tonbridge Angels v Bognor Regis Town
23 Weymouth v Hastings United or Whitehawk
