Five pound Moatsiders!

By Ian Townsend

Merstham host Westfield in a match critical to their Pitching In Isthmian South Central survival- and they've halved their prices

Merstham welcome Westfield on Saturday in perhaps their most important match in years- a match which could well decide whether they finish outside the bottom four, take a relegation play off place, or suffer automatic relegation- and rather incredibly each of those outcomes is possible!

The Moatsiders are hoping for a large crowd to cheer on their heroes, and have reduced prices accordingly. Entrance will cost just five pounds for adults and concessions, three pounds for under 16's.

A last gasp goal on Saturday saw them climb out of the bottom four by defeating Chertsey Town, ending a five match winless run- but they were pushed back into the relegation play off places when Ashford Town won at Tooting & Mitcham United on Tuesday night. Defeat on Saturday could see them drop into the bottom two if Bedfont Sports and Sutton Common Rovers win, a draw will see them compete in a relegation play off, whilst a win could see them climb out of the bottom four- but only if Sutton Common Rovers defeat Ashford Town!

Westfield aren't in the best of form, either, with only two wins from ten- although both of those victories came on the road. The Moatsiders got their first win of the season against these opponents on Saturday November 26th.
