Former head Rover Butterworth the new head Rock

East Thurrock United appoint Steve Butterworth as their new manager


East Thurrock United have confirmed that their new boss is Steve Butterworth, who leaves Romford- these days in the Essex Senior League- to take over at Rookery Hill.

Steve was previously the manager of Great Wakering Rovers, leaving Burrough's Park in October 2021. He joined Boro in the summer, and leaves them in sixteenth place.

As a player, Steve turned out for the likes of Newport County, Hornchurch, Carshalton Athletic, Harrow Borough, Dartford, Kingstonian, Aveley, Chelmsford City and Brentwood Town, as well as for Rovers.
