Former Oxford and Brentford defender new at the Hill

Nico Jones is new at Burgess Hill Town

Burgess Hill Town have announced the signing of centre back Nico Jones- and perhaps may get to make a debut for the club as they travel to Chichester City on Saturday.

Nico, an Ireland Under 18 international, came through the youth ranks at Fulham before a move to Oxford United, where he played mainly for the Under 18 and under 21 sides, although he did manage a handful of senior appearances. Whilst with United he made loan moves to Oxford City and Havant & Waterlooville, before leaving the city of dreaming spires for South West London, signing for Brentford.

He became a regular for the Bees B team, winning the London Senior Cup, but after leaving the Bees in the autumn of last year he dropped down to National League South level, where he has played for both Welling United and Dover Athletic.
