Former Shrimper new at Gulls

Jaden Crowhurst signs on at Canvey Island

Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Canvey Island have strengthened their defence with the arrival of former Southend United defensive prospect Jaden Crowhurst.

Jaden was part of the Shrimpers first team squad on occasions last season, but with the club in turmoil and under an embargo they were unable to offer him a new deal, so he has chosen the Gulls to continue his career.

This isn't his first spell in our ranks, as in the latter part of the 21-22 campaign he spent time on loan at Canvey's then North Division rivals Great Wakering Rovers, making fifteen appearances and scoring in a five-nil win over Romford. Canvey fans with good memories may even recall him playing against their side in a one-one draw on April 16th 2022.

As well as his time with Rovers, Jaden also had loan spells higher up the pyramid, spending time with National League South side Tonbridge Angels in the early part of last season and, in the same Division, with Hampton & Richmond Borough in February.
