Four Christmas K's

By Ian Townsend

Chevron McLean, Danny Dudley, Jake Eales and Great Evans are new at Kingstonian

Kingstonian had four new names in their squad as they were narrowly defeated at Carshalton Athletic on Boxing Day- three of whom started.

Full back Chevron McLean was part of the Cheshunt squad which won promotion via the play off's last season- indeed he made forty appearances for the Ambers, including a starring role in that Final victory over Hornchurch. He remained with the club as they started their first National League South campaign.

Prior to the Ambers he played for Billericay Town, Maldon & Tiptree, Molesey, South Park, Staines Town and St Neots Town.

Danny Dudley started this season at Horsham, and played nine times. The defender joined the Hornets in the autumn of 2020, but spent much of the 21-22 season in the treatment room. Prior to his time at the Camping World Community Stadium he captained Carshalton Athletic to promotion, and also turned out for Corinthian-Casuals, Chipstead and Whyteleafe.

Great Evans, a striker, has most recently been at Harrow Borough. Evans started his career as a youth player at Bedfont Sports, from where he was picked up by AFC Wimbledon, making his professional debut in an EFL Trophy tie at Yeovil Town.

He came to Isthmian prominence at South Park in 2018-19, scoring thirteen goals in only twenty three appearances. He moved to South Park from Hayes and Yeading United; he'd scored three goals at the Skyex but felt he wasn't getting enough game time so headed to Whitehall Lane to rectify that, which he did to great effect.

He went on to play for Merstham, South Park again, Wingate & Finchley, Leatherhead and Cheshunt.

Finally Jake Eales, another defender, has played for Leatherhead this season, making twelve appearances. He was previously with Wingate & Finchley and Welwyn Garden City.
