From the Greens to the Bar

Hendon's Tingey becomes a Scholar

Yesterday lunchtime our former favourites Hendon announced that their longest serving player, Luke Tingey, was now their former favourite- as he had decided to leave the club after five years and one hundred and eighty six appearances in green. Yesterday evening we found out where Luke was going, as he was unveiled as a new signing by Potters Bar Town.

The Scholars, who finished last season in a respectable thirteenth place, seem overjoyed with their new acquisition. Boss Lee O'Leary stated:

“I’m delighted to secure Luke’s services. He’s someone I've admired for a long time now, having played in the same side as him in his early days at Hendon. Along with his ability, he’s the type of character that I want in our dressing room- an ambitious lad with loads of potential. I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”

Luke made twenty one appearances last season, and was an important part of the Hendon squad that reached the playoff final in 2017-18, losing a penalty shootout to Dulwich Hamlet.
