Gale for United

Sam Gale moves to Hastings United on loan

Hastings United had a defensive debutant on Tuesday night, as Sam Gale had an opening night to remember, his side defeating Carshalton Athletic by four goals to nil.

You might remember Sam, who moves to Pilot Field on loan from Gillingham, as he's been our way before.

Last season he spent many months at Sheppey United, making twenty six appearances as they narrowly missed out on a Play Off spot. During the 21-22 campaign he spent some time on loan at United's Premier Division rivals Folkestone Invicta, although he doesn't seem to have made an appearance.

He previously spent loan time in the SCEFL with Lordswood.

He made his professional debut for the Gills during 2021, but has generally played for the Under 18 and B sides.
