Great Evans- he's a Tanner!

Leatherhead snap up Blues striker

Leatherhead last night confirmed the signing of striker Great Evans, who finished the last campaign at Wingate and Finchley. Tanners chairman Daniel Hodges hailed the arrival of the player, and also added that Tanners fans should expect news on some more signings over the weekend- so we'll bring you that as soon as we have it.

Evans started his career as a youth player at Bedfont Sports, from where he was picked up by AFC Wimbledon, making his professional debut in an EFL Trophy tie at Yeovil Town. Sadly, although he scored his fair share of goals for the Dons U18's, his time at Kingsmeadow didn't lead to him becoming a first team regular.

He came to Isthmian prominence at South Park in 2018-19, scoring thirteen goals in only twenty three appearances. He moved to South Park from Hayes and Yeading United; he'd scored three goals at the Skyex but felt he wasn't getting enough game time so headed to Whitehall Lane to rectify that, which he did to great effect.

Last season he kicked off the campaign at Merstham, making only a handful of appearances, before heading back to the Sparks, where he found his shooting boots once more and notched six goals in fourteen games. He moved on to Summers Lane in early February, and notched another three goals in a seven game spell.
