Highlights: Bowers and Pitsea 1 Gorleston 1

By Ian Townsend

Two first half goals and a point each at the Len Salmon

Bowers and Pitsea were hoping to reclaim third place from Bury Town by defeating visitors Gorleston, the hosts in fourth at kick off, the visitors down in eleventh. At full time neither side had moved, and the match had delivered only two goals, which had arrived within two minutes of each other in the run up to half time. First the visiting Greens struck on thirty nine minutes, Dion Frary opening the scoring- but almost immediately the other number four, Lewis Chambers, struck back for Bowers- and as it turned out, that was that. The hosts are eight unbeaten, whilst the visitors have only lost one of their last eight, but have drawn half of those.
