Chats fall, Robins rise- and elsewhere, Hornchurch celebrate

Carshalton Athletic played host to second place Chatham Town. The Chats hoped to cut the Hornchurch lead at the top to six points, and had looked in fine form when winning their previous three; whilst the Robins needed three points to reignite their play off chase- and it was the hosts who made the breakthrough, Joseph Bell opening the scoring with his head on twenty three minutes.

Five hundred and sixty watched on, and they’ll have been overjoyed when Kwaku Frimpong made it two-nil in added time- and from the half way line- at the end of the match, ensuring victory for the Robins, who are seventh, only three points away from the top five. Chatham stay second, but the gap between them and Hornchurch is nine points, with the Urchins having three games in hand.
