Highlights: Cheshunt 2 Potters Bar Town 4

By Ian Townsend

The Scholars triumph in a local derby

Cheshunt climbed out of the bottom four with victory on Saturday, and hoped to climb further up the table with victory in a local derby against Potters Bar Town, but it was the Scholars who struck first, Brandon Adams scoring his ninth goal of the campaign after just twelve minutes. The Ambers striker Nnamdi Nwachuku is always likely to get a goal, and he levelled from the spot ten minutes before the break- but the lead was back with the Scholars just before the break, Adams once again tormenting his hosts. With thirteen minutes to go, Samrai Gebrai looked to have made three points safe for the Scholars with a third goal, but Nwachuku scored another right at the end to give the home fans late hope and the away fans the jitters. Those jitters ended quickly, however, as Rickie Hayles took the chance to make it four-two, the Scholars moving up to fourteenth.
