A late goal sees the Hawks leave with a point

Cray Wanderers welcomed Whitehawk to Hayes Lane. Wands were looking for a fourth unbeaten match in a row and for three points which would propel them up the table, whilst their visitors were on their worst run of the campaign and hoped to halt that by picking up their first win in four matches.

The Hawks had the best possible start. On five minutes Charlie Lambert decided- as usual- on a shot from outside the box, and his effort took a deflection which beat Shaun Rowley in the home goal. They held that lead until four minutes before the break, a fine free kick from Anthony Cook levelling the match, and within four more minutes the hosts were ahead, Gary Lockyer scoring for the third match in succession, this one after a cross from Yahaya Bamba.

Wands looked to have three points wrapped up, holding onto their lead until four minutes into added time. By this point the visitors were down to ten men, a second yellow card seeing Stefan Wright depart slightly before his team mates, but the Hawks have been rather good at scoring late goals of late, and they did it again, a cross from debutant Lloyd Dawes headed home by Ben Pope to earn them a point.

Whitehawk ended the day in tenth, Cray Wanderers in seventeenth.
