Enfield welcomed Lowestoft Town, the Trawler Boys hoping to quickly bounce back from midweek defeat against Ipswich Wanderers. Just before the break the hosts saw Vinny Murphy dismissed, and almost immediately Jake Reed took advantage, his eleventh of the season taking but a minute to arrive- the sixth match in a row in which he’d found the net. The visitors quickly had another, Harvey Sayer making it two, and the three points looked assured when Dan White added a third with twenty seven minutes remaining. It was four-nil on seventy three minutes, Dave Hinton with that one, and Kyle Haylock made it a truly miserable day for the hosts when adding a fifth just before the end. That’s that, the Trawler Boys back at the summit.
