Hornchurch had the chance to stretch their lead to four points with victory over Hastings United- and it was a chance they took, in some style. Hastings delighted the travelling fans by going ahead six minutes before half time, Sam Okoye with the goal- but that did nothing but provoke the Urchins. Lennon Peake quickly equalised- his first goal for the club- and within three minutes of the restart George Saunders had put the hosts ahead. On fifty three minutes it was three-one, Liam Nash with his tenth goal of the season- and a minute from time Ade Yusuff made it four. Since Hastings returned to our top flight they have played Hornchurch three times, and each time lost by a three goal margin.
