A late leveller as the Towners take a point from the Hornets

Enfield Town moved up to fourth on goal difference after a draw at Horsham, in front of a crowd of six hundred and seventy nine. The Hornets winless run extends to five matches, but they did go ahead in this one, the ball moving quickly from keeper Lewis Carey via Lee Harding for Shamir Fenelon to swivel and shoot six minutes before the break, Fenelon’s fifth of the campaign.

The Hornets had dominated most of the first half, and they remained in the ascendency after the break, with the visitors taking an hour to have their first shot- an effort from Herson Alves which cleared the bar. Carey then had to tip over a header from substitute Reece Beckles-Richards as the visitors grew into the game, and ten minutes from time Beckles-Richards proved their saviour, ghosting in at the back post to finish from close range. That was that, the Hornets down in twelfth.
