Highlights: Ipswich Wanderers 1 Brentwood Town 6

By Ian Townsend

Brentwood make it nine goals in two matches with a fine win at Wanderers

Ipswich Wanderers played host to promotion hopefuls Brentwood Town, and Wanderers, who had lost their previous five, were quickly ahead- Matt ‘Steak Bake’ Blake, a former golden boot winner, opening the scoring on eight minutes. Town struck back almost immediately, Samuel ‘Cheese and Onion Pasty’ (we might have made that one up) Jeremiah levelling just four minutes later. Five minutes before the break the visiting Blues went two-one up through Andy Freeman, and just before the break it was three-one, Matt Cripps giving Town a cushion. After the break the Blues went goal crazy, Freeman adding a fourth, Shad Ngandu getting a fifth, and Daniel Ogunleye making it six eleven minutes from time- a result which lifts them back into the top five.
