A comeback win takes the Trawler Boys four points clear

Leaders Lowestoft Town faced a tough test, as fifth place Walthamstow headed to the coast. The Trawler Boys had been in magnificent form, having won their previous five matches and scored nineteen goals in the process, whilst their opponents were also five unbeaten and knew that they could climb to third with victory, so we expected this to be tight, and it didn’t disappoint.

Walthamstow went ahead on twelve minutes, Jordon Watson with the opener, and they held that lead until nine minutes after the break when Harvey Sayer took a chance to level from the spot. Stow were ahead again with only seventeen minutes left, Ollie Sotoyinbo making it two in two games since his return, but only five minutes later Jake Reed got his seventeenth of the season to level once more. That seemed to be that, and then in added time the hosts found themselves a winner, Sayer popping up to put them ahead for the first time in the match and take them four points clear at the top.
