Highlights: Lowestoft Town 5 Redbridge 1

By Ian Townsend

A hat trick for Jake Reed and three more points for the leaders

Leaders Lowestoft Town were looking for a fourth win in a row as Redbridge came to call, and they took only a quarter of an hour to make their mark, Jake Reed taking his tally for the season to twenty eight. It was two-nil with twenty three minutes left, Harvey Sayer his usual deadly self from the spot, and Reed surely ended the contest when adding a third eleven minutes from time. Redbridge then got a goal back, Ayo Odukoya with a consolation with nine minutes to go, but that spurred on the Trawler Boys and they added a fourth, Tom Fitzgerald with that one. Deep in added time Reed completed his hat trick and ensured a five-one win, and that his side held onto that their three point lead at the top.
