Three points and three goals for the Moatsiders

Merstham welcomed cup heroes Sheppey United. The visitors were bottom of the pile at kick off despite looking much improved of late, and hoped to catch the Ites distracted by their impending cup tie. Sheppey were caught out last weekend, losing to Horndean, bounced back to defeat Lancing in midweek, but were caught out once more by the Moatsiders, who triumphed three-two. The hosts went two goals up inside of half an hour, Lorenzo Lewis and Callum Corbin giving them that advantage, but the Ites hit back just after the break, Alex Wills and Jack Marsh drawing them level. Just before the hour Lewis scored again for the hosts, and this time they held on for three points which saw them climb out of the bottom two.
