Hillians part company with Wormull

Burgess Hill Town make a managerial change

Burgess Hill Town have announced that they have released manager Simon Wormull.

In a short statement on social media, the club explained:

'We can announce that the club has parted company with First Team Head Coach, Simon Wormull.

We would like to thank Simon for all of his hard work over the past year and wish him every success in the future.

A club statement will be released shortly.'

It's just under a year since Wormull took the reins at the Green Elephants Stadium, being appointed after some time as caretaker following the departure of Ian Chapman. He was unable to keep the side in the Premier Division, and they've had a far from positive start to the South East Division campaign, sitting second bottom. His last match in charge turned out to be the 4-3 defeat at Whyteleafe last night.
