Sevenoaks Town yesterday announced a managerial change, as boss Harry Hudson stepped away to be replaced by his Assistant, Mark Dacey.
Hudson took over at Sevenoaks in February 2022, and turned his side from relegation fighters into promotion chasers. He was previously in charge at Glebe and Whyteleafe, and leaves the club in third place in Pitching In Isthmian South East. The club explained that he had decided to step away to 'explore opportunities in professional football,' and added that he had been 'working behind the scenes with the Board for several weeks to facilitate a seamless transition and to appoint our new manager.'
Dacey 'will be assisted by Junior James and Adam Flemming along with the rest of the existing backroom staff - Danny Rose, Julian Leigh, Kevin Rawlinson and Carly Payne.'
Mark has a great deal of coaching experience, as well as his success as Hudson's Assistant at Greatness Park. He spent- for example- a number of years coaching at Bromley, a successful period steering Cray Wanderers Under 18 side to unprecedented success, worked with Hudson at Glebe, coached the England six-a-side team, was Assistant boss at Barking and spent time as first team coach at Dulwich Hamlet in National League South.
