Sydney Ibie signs on at Billericay Town

Prior to Saturday's trip to Chatham Town, Billericay Town announced the loan signing of Dagenham and Redbridge forward Sydney Ibie.

You will perhaps remember Sydney from his previous spells in the Pitching In Isthmian League, most recently at Northwood, for whom he scored twelve goals in the early part of last season before being snapped up by the Daggers. This season, as well as playing for his parent club, he has already had a National League South loan spell with Aveley.

Sydney joined Northwood midway through the 21-22 season after leaving Potters Bar Town, and played a big part in their climb to mid table security and their magnificent away form, weighing in with seven goals. He started the 21-22 season by playing six times for the Scholars, and earlier in his career he turned out for Beaconsfield Town, Chalfont St. Peter, Wantage Town, Aylesbury United, Welwyn Garden City and Hemel Hempstead Town.

He immediately found the back of the net on Saturday- although it didn't help much, as it was their third, and Chatham scored six.
