Ipswich keeper for Regent

Lewis Ridd new at Brightlingsea Regent

Brightlingsea Regent last night gave a debut to Ipswich Town keeper Lewis Ridd, who has signed on a month's loan.

Lewis began his footballing rise at Swansea City, before moving over to the Tractor Boys. A Wales Under 19 international, his Town side reached the Semi-Finals of the FA Youth Cup a couple of years ago, eventually falling to narrow defeat against Liverpool.

He spent time on loan at both Bury Town and their great rivals AFC Sudbury last season, playing only once for the Yellows but making seven appearances for the Ram Meadow side. He was back at Town earlier this season, playing thirteen times.
