Dulwich Hamlet welcome Billericay Town in the Reposs Isthmian Women’s Cup Semi Final

We’ve reached the Semi-Final stage of the Reposs Isthmian Women’s Cup, and this evening Dulwich Hamlet welcome Billericay Town for the chance to take on either Bognor Regis Town or Ashford United in the Final.

Hamlet are having a fine season in the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier Division, and currently sit in second place behind Fulham, having lost only two league matches during the entire campaign. They’ve also been pretty much unbeatable at home, which augurs well for this evening…except they’ve already taken on the Blues this season in the FA Cup, and lost!

The travelling Blues reached the Final of this competition last season, only to lose on penalties after a thrilling encounter against Charlton Athletic. They sit in eighth place in the WNL Southern Premier Division, but have had a very positive January, a narrow defeat against leaders Portsmouth followed by wins against London Bees and Hashtag United. They aren’t quite as good on the road, however, but you’d expect them to be favourites this evening.

To reach this stage, Hamlet defeated Cheshunt nine-one, Enfield Town on penalties. Billericay, who entered the competition at a later stage than their opponents tonight, recorded a two-nil win over Haringey Borough.

Tickets are available on the gate- or here.

Bognor welcome Ashford United next Wednesday evening.
