AFC Sudbury yesterday announced the return of striker Jake Clowsley from Brightlingsea Regent, and what an impact he had, coming on as a substitute after seventy five minutes of the yellows match with Great Wakering Rovers and having two goals to his name six minutes later!
Jake returned to Brightlingsea Regent midway through the 2019-20 season, making eleven appearances and scoring three goals before the campaign shuddered to a halt. He played three times last season, scoring three goals, and managed one goal in three this season.
Jake originally joined the club in November 2015 from Stanway Rovers. He made four appearances during their North Division promotion season in 2016-17, and fifteen in the Premier Division the following season- a campaign when he also spent a few months with AFC Sudbury, making twenty four appearances.
He previously made over one hundred first team appearances with Clacton, at the start of his career- he came through their youth system.
