Kingstonian announce potential Raynes Park Vale ground share

Kingstonian and Raynes Park Vale yesterday announced a proposed two season ground share, the K's looking to head to St George's Playing Fields for two seasons, starting in the summer.

This will be the fourth ground move for the K's since they left their former Kingsmeadow Stadium, as they have already resided at Leatherhead, Corinthian-Casuals and, currently, Tooting and Mitcham United.

Kingstonian FC Chairman Yioryos Vasilaras stated:

"I'm delighted to have reached agreement with Raynes Park Vale for us to ground share at Grand Drive for an initial two seasons starting next season. I would like to thank all the Directors and Officials at Raynes Park Vale FC - reserving a special mention for John Dalton and John Scales, who have both been extremely professional as well as very accommodating and welcoming since I made initial contact with them. I'm really looking forward to K's playing at Grand Drive and having what will hopefully be a mutually beneficial relationship for both clubs moving forward.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank both Steve Adkins and Jackie Watkins at Tooting & Mitcham United for hosting us for the last two seasons - Steve, thank you for being a gentleman from our very first meeting and for providing us with a 'home' when no-one else would. I would like to wish Tooting & Mitcham United every success moving forward and hope to see them return to the 'Isthmian League family' very soon.

Finally, to the K's supporters, I appreciate being at Imperial Fields has not been ideal for many given the distance from the Royal Borough of Kingston, thank you to those of you that have supported us during our stay in Morden and hopefully, with our move to Grand Drive bringing us closer to the Borough, all of you and many more will be lining the terraces and sitting in the stand cheering our club on."
