K's climb as Regent suffer

By Ian Townsend

Kingstonian finally managed not to draw! Our one match in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier last night ended in a thumping home win- watch the goals and hear from the manager- here.

Kingstonian had drawn six of their nine Premier Division matches prior to last night, and when they failed from the penalty spot after three minutes against Brightlingsea Regent home fans at Imperial Fields must have been worried about getting more of the same. However their side were encouraged rather than downhearted, and eventually triumphed by three goals to nil.

They went ahead at the midway point of the first half through Tyrese Owen, scoring in his fifth consecutive match. Footage from Essex Footie below:

The same player then added his eighth if the season to make it two-nil, three minutes before the break.

Just after the hour, Jack Strange made quite sure with a third for the hosts, heading home unmarked from a corner.

That result sees the K's climb to eleventh. Here's what manager Lee O'Leary thought about his teams performance.
