Lavery and Chips

Chipstead bring in Horsham forward Kieran- and we take another look at THAT goal for South Park

Chipstead have announced the signing of Kieran Lavery, recently confirmed as leaving Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Horsham.

Forward Kieran's departure from the Hornets wasn't too much as a surprise, given he'd spent part of the 2019-20 season on loan with Horley Town, and played only four times last season. He made seventeen appearances in yellow during the 2019-20 season, and twenty three as he helped the club to promotion in the previous campaign. His playing time with the Hornets has been hit by a succession of injuries, which undoubtedly came as a surprise as he was hardly ever missing during his time with South Park. He left the Sparks for Dorking Wanderers, playing twenty times for the side which earned promotion from the Isthmian Premier in 2018-19-which effectively means he was promoted twice in the same season!

He came to national attention by scoring a magnificent free kick for the Sparks in an FA Trophy match at Tranmere Rovers- and for the way he celebrated that goal! Watch it below- go to the three minute mark.
