Leafe sign a Green Lion

Jackson won't have to change his colour scheme

We don't often get to report on the movement of players who play for Guernsey, for rather obvious reasons, but we have some such news today as Green Lions midfielder Tom Jackson signed for Whyteleafe.

Tom- as you've probably guessed- is based on the mainland. He was an AFC Wimbledon youth, and he made his Guernsey debut last season against- you've guessed it- Whyteleafe, coming on with twenty five minutes to go as his side lost by four goals to one on August Bank Holiday Monday. To his credit, the period he was on the field ended in a one-one draw! He managed to play only twice more, but both of those matches- both on the mainland- ended in comprehensive victory for the Green Lions, as they defeated Ramsgate four-one and, perhaps more surprisingly, Ashford United three-one.

He was first named on the bench for the Green Lions when he was only fifteen years old. He's a rather more venerable seventeen now!
