Margate bring in Bay's Wilkins

By Ian Townsend

Young Herne Bay midfielder reunited with Saunders

Margate have announced the signing of Herne Bay midfielder Connor Wilkins.

Wilkins previously played for Gate manager Jay Saunders at Maidstone United, and it seems from the article on the club website, which you can read here, that it was this relationship which swung the deal.

Wilkins made thirty-three appearances for Bay last season, scoring three goals- the same number he scored from thirty appearances during the previous campaign. He turned out for Sittingbourne, on loan from Maidstone, the year before.
