Michael Britt R.I.P.

Our deepest sympathies

We would like to take a moment to send our love and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Margate footballer Michael Britt.

Michael played for the Blues from the age of six, and most recently has been turning out for the Under 23 side. His untimely passing will be devastating for all those who loved him, and, as the outpouring of affection and loss on social media shows, that seems to be everyone who knew him. He must have been a quite remarkable young man.

The Blues Under 23 side went ahead with their scheduled match in his memory last night, and our image is of one of the tributes they paid to him. He was also named on the teamsheet as a substitute.

Rest in Peace Michael. Much love to family, friends, and to all at Hartsdown Park.

Where next?
