Midfielder Dogan new in Blue

Margate bring in Taner Dogan

Former Cray Wanderers midfielder Taner Dogan has been announced as a new signing for Margate.

You might not have noticed him turning out for Wands at the end of last season, as he managed only seven minutes plus added time in a five-three win at Herne Bay on April 10th.

Prior to his time at Wands he played mainly in Ireland and the USA. He's a Harvard graduate who captained their football team (our football, not their football) and also played for St Louis before heading to Ireland, where he spent time with Dundalk and- on loan- Athlone Town. He went back to the US and played for Forward Madison, and spent time back in Dundalk before that short spell in Cray.

Most recently he has been with National League South side Eastbourne Borough.

His first game for Gate may well be on Boxing Day against...Cray Wanderers.
