All roads head to Carshalton as the Robins welcome the Gulls of Canvey Island

Carshalton Athletic have the chance to go top of the table with victory this evening- and standing in their way are Canvey Island, as third plays twelfth.

The Robins look to bounce back after four matches without a win- three of them Cup and Trophy matches against Cray Valley PM. Athletic will be delighted to finally play someone other than the Millers, as the Pitching In Isthmian South East side managed twice what seven Premier Division sides haven't managed between them this season, knocking Athletic out of two competitions in the process.

The visiting Gulls have had an up and down season so far, which is perhaps why they find themselves in mid table. After looking to be on the up with league wins over Margate and Billericay Town, they had to stop playing sides in blue and face one in red at the weekend, and it didn't go well. Walton & Hersham, in fifth place in Pitching In Southern Premier South after last season's promotion, knocked them out of the FA Trophy, three-one.

Last season the Gulls took four points from the Robins, winning their last meeting, at Colston Avenue in February, by two goals to nil. Bradley Sach and Charlie Edwards found the back of the net during that match.

Kick off is at 7.45 PM.
