More Bees for Basildon

United add another quartet

Basildon United last night announced that another two members of last season's squad were returning to the club, and that they were to be joined by two new signings.

The two returning players are goalkeeper George Marsh, and xx Ashley Pibworth. Ashley stepped into the Bees first team towards the end of last season, playing three times, whilst George was a similarly recent arrival, playing four times.

The two new signings are defender Will Putt and midfielder Luke Stanley.

Will will not be entirely new to the Bees, as he was a loan signing from Billericay Town around two and a half years ago. He came through the ranks at Southend United and has also spent time at Barking. He was a member of the Billericay squad that won the Alan Turvey Trophy with an eight-three victory over Tonbridge Angels in 2017. More recently he has spent some time with Burnham Ramblers.

Luke played briefly for the Bees in 2018-19, and has previously played for Aveley, Brentwood Town, Barkingside, Waltham Forest, Thurrock and Tilbury.
