More Swans for the K’s!

By Ian Townsend

New boss Scott Harris continues to put his old band back together, as Joe Hicks and Alex Kelly sign on at Kingstonian

New Kingstonian boss Scott Harris seems to be trying very hard to reconstruct his double promotion winning Walton & Hersham side for the K’s, and yesterday he added Joe Hicks and Alex Kelly to the already-signed Eddie Simon and Mitchal Gough.

Joe- who alongside Alex, Mitchal and Eddie also featured in our South Central Team of the Season for 22-23- is a defender who made a colossal fifty three appearances as the Swans won the title last season. He also scored to put his side into the lead as they came from behind to defeat Hanworth Villa in the Play Off Final.

Prior to his time at Walton he spent time with the other Walton, the now sadly defunct Casuals, and also played for Corinthian-Casuals and Hampton & Richmond Borough, as well as having a previous spell with the K’s and spending a short time at Met Police.

Alex, a midfielder, was magnificent as the Swans won Isthmian promotion, and scored the equaliser in that Play Off Final victory. He made forty seven appearances last season. He started his career at Charlton Athletic and also played for (and won promotion with) Walton Casuals before joining Horsham in the summer of 2019, leaving for the Swans the following summer.
