Munyard back at Regent

Boss who left Brightlingsea Regent on 26 February returns less than six weeks later

Brightlingsea Regent yesterday announced the surprise return of Brett Munyard to the managers post, only a few weeks after he left it.

Brett joined the club from White Ensign in November 2021. In his time at Ensign he oversaw two promotions, from Step Seven to Step Five. He took over with Regent in nineteenth place in Pitching In Isthmian Premier, having lost eight consecutive games, and steered them to safety, but he hadn't been able to have the same impact this season and resigned in late February.

Regent were confirmed as relegated last weekend, and their statement yesterday speaks of a three year plan and aspirations for a return to our top flight as soon as possible.
