New Robins

Pappoe returns, Sankoh and Ajvazi arrive for Carshalton Athletic

Carshalton Athletic had two new names and one returning player in their squad for the win over Cheshunt on Saturday.

The returning player is Daniel Pappoe, who went straight back into the side.

Daniel started his career with Chelsea as an Under Twelve, and went on to captain the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2010. None of the players in that squad went on to make the grade at Stamford Bridge, and Daniel moved on to Brighton and Hove Albion.

It didn't work out for him at Brighton, and he went on to play for Hampton and Richmond Borough, Hemel Hempstead Town, Crawley Town, Dulwich Hamlet, and then made his Carshalton debut in a draw against Bognor Regis Town, back in September 2018. He made twenty eight appearances that season, and thirty six in the following campaign.

This season he has been a big part of the Wingate & Finchley defence, making twenty appearances, including the draw with his new club back in October.

Midfielder Imaad Sankoh previously played for Mertham- who coincidentally arrive at Colston Avenue in the Velocity Trophy tonight. Imaad was a youth player with Southend United and Watford, and made four appearances for the Moatsiders earlier this season. He has also spent time with Hanworth Villa in the Combined Counties League.

Melos Ajvazi has spent time with both Leatherhead and Northwood this season. The striker made five appearances for Woods, scoring one goal, and played twice for the Tanners at the start of the campaign, including in defeat against his new club on August Bank Holiday Monday.

He was previously with Clapton and Braintree Town.
