Oliver Peters makes Billericay Town debut from the bench

Billericay Town fans didn't have much to shout about in Saturday's defeat against Haringey Borough, but at least they did get to clap their eyes on a new addition to Garry McCann's squad, as Oliver Peters made his debut from the bench.

Midfielder Ollie arrives in Town from our current champions, Bishop's Stortford, these days competing in National League North. He joined the Blues in January last year and was an important part of last seasons triumph, playing forty eight times and helping out with eight goals. He has made another twenty one appearances at the higher level this season.

Originally from Colchester, has spent the previous few years in the USA, where he was studying as well as playing with the Frances Marion University 'Patriots,' and he was voted the most valuable player for Georgia Revolution for the 2020-21 season.

Oliver came through the ranks at AFC Sudbury before departing for the States at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, a season during which made forty two appearances and scored four goals. That was his third year with the Yellows, and he also spent time with Hadleigh United.
