Pitching In Isthmian Supporters predictions 23-24: Witham Town

1. Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

I guess, being a new supporter, that the start was a big highlight, winning 8 from the first 10 was a great start to the season. Plus seeing James Beardwell at the Simarco Stadium giving his all to support the team, and his match day blogs and interviews.

2. And what was the worst moment?

I think losing in the cup to Berkhampstead at home was a low point.

3. Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Luke Ige was my Player of the Season, there were many decent performers and its hard to look further than strikers usually but Luke was a solid dependable captain who mostly had a 7/10 performance each game.

4. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 2023-24 campaign?

I haven't seen the new squad fully released yet but it does appear it's a complete overhaul bar a few so time will tell how they gel and who stands out.

5. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

I think it will be another season of highs and lows and the bottom half beckons ( hopefully I'm wrong) but as long as we are not flirting with relegation then that will be a good season.

6. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Obviously it's the local derbies. Unfortunately Coggeshall were relegated so that's a derby gone- but we still have Heybridge Swifts and Maldon.

7. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

I don't travel far due to personal reasons- but I did enjoy Heybridge Swifts ground last season.

8. If you regularly travelled away, which ground served the best food?

The food at Coggeshall was decent, especially on a cold day.

Brightlingsea Regent, Felixstowe and Walton Utd, Heybridge Swifts, Bowers and Pitsea, Enfield
